Get your tickets for CLT’s Dinner & Drama, two short comedies, in the Village Hall on Thursday 6th, Friday 7th and Saturday 8th October at 8pm each evening. Doors open at 7.30pm
MURDER AT TWILIGHT GARDENS by Damian Trasler is a comedy set in a retirement village and directed by Lucy Watson and Stephen Pugh. The police said the death was by natural causes but four residents of the old people’s home Twilight Gardens think otherwise. Taking their lead from watching multiple episodes of “Murder Mystery Hour”, along with the help of their energetic activities’ supervisor, can the four sprightly women solve the case or will they get distracted by tea and cake? With laughs-a-plenty and a twist at the end, this short play is
sure to be as much fun to perform as it is to watch.
AIRFIELD by Bob Tucker is also directed by Lucy and Stephen. What to do when your marriage lacks lustre and you simply thought there was more to life than, well, HIM?! Too old for Love Island. Too scared of Tinder. Don’t fret – ‘Young Yettie Airways’ has got all the answers. Lucy (the wife) attempts to get some of the fireworks back in her life by planning an overseas holiday after years of going to Clacton-on-Sea with her “let’s just stay at home” husband, Fred. But is this holiday all that it seems? A light-hearted comedy that will be sure to take you on a journey... just maybe not the one you expected.
