Compton Little Theatre Proudly presents Mother Goose the Panto by Bob Heather & Roger Lamb
Compton Village Hall
Ticket Prices £10
Doors open 7.30pm for 8.00pm start
The panto is set near the Village of Gooseberry Grove and begins with a Good Fairy Queen Virtue who is discussing with her fairies which fairy-tale character would benefit from some kindness. She decides to help the poor Mother Goose by giving her Candy, a magic goose. Mother Goose and her family become very rich, thanks to Candy.
Howeve, Mother Goose is still old and ugly, and even though she is now very rich, would give anything to become young and beautiful again. Vanity, the Bad Fairy Queen, makes a pact with her to turn her ugliness into beauty in exchange for the magic goose and Mother Goose agrees. She soon realises her mistake and Mother Goose's silly son Billy, with the help of his sister Jill, her fiancée Jack, and Virtue, the Good Fairy Queen, set out to get Candy back and put things right.
Will it all end happily ever after, in the best pantomime tradition, or will vanity win over virtue in the end?
