Welcome to Compton Little Theatre

Established in 1982

Welcome to Compton Little Theatre, based in Compton Village, Surrey.  We are a friendly, family based group with high standards in all aspects of our very professional productions.  We were established in 1982 by a group of enthusiastic actors, many of whom are still involved in some shape or form.

We aim for three productions a year, a musical or panto in January, a Summer play and a comedy dinner/drama in the Autumn.

We are always looking for new talent in any area; acting, directing, costumes, make-up, back stage crew, front of house.  So take a look around and

Freshwater at Monk's House

Compton Little Theatre were recently invited to perform a play reading of the Virginia Woolf play 'Freshwater'.  This invite came from The National Trust who own Monk's House, Virginia Woolf's 17th century country retreat in East Sussex. The reading was perfomed in the beautiful gardens at Monk's House. The audience were delighted with this, the only play written by Virgina Woolf and were very appreciative of our passion and professionalism in putting this on for just one evening. Many thanks to everyone who made this a great success.

CLT's 2017 Dinner & Drama Production 'An Afternoon at the Seaside' by Agatha Christie

The scene is a seashore resort – Little Slippyng-on-sea. Three couples are spending some time in their beach huts by the sea. Gossip turns to the fact that a theft has taken place at a nearby luxury hotel. Lady Beckman has had an emerald necklace stolen from her room. Only a siren in a bikini, making the men ogle and the women envious, can distract the visitors in this sunny little scene from their speculation. So who did it and who will solve this otherwise perfect crime.

True to form, Agatha Christie has given us a play with some really great character roles from the talkative and generally cynical Mrs Crum to the charming and rakish Bob Wheeler, guaranteed to be the life and soul of any gathering.

This is a Dinner & Drama production, so there will a Fish & Chip supper and dessert served during the evening. Please put the dates in your diary to come and see us in action.

The dates are Thursday 5th to Saturday 7th October 2017 at Compton Village Hall. Every evening the doors open at 7.30pm for an 8.00pm start. Thursday evening’s performance is in aid of The Samson Centre for Multiple Sclerosis and the ticket will be £20, the other 2 evenings have a bargain price of £17.50. Hope to see you there!!!
