Welcome to Compton Little Theatre

Established in 1982

Welcome to Compton Little Theatre, based in Compton Village, Surrey.  We are a friendly, family based group with high standards in all aspects of our very professional productions.  We were established in 1982 by a group of enthusiastic actors, many of whom are still involved in some shape or form.

We aim for three productions a year, a musical or panto in January, a Summer play and a comedy dinner/drama in the Autumn.

We are always looking for new talent in any area; acting, directing, costumes, make-up, back stage crew, front of house.

We are always looking for new talent in any area; acting, directing, costumes, make-up, back stage crew, front of house.  So take a look around and contact us

It is with great gratitude that we would like to thank the Guildford Amateur Theatre Assocation (GATA) for a grant we received to encourage young people to attend amateur dramatic productions. We were able to offer a considerable discount to youth groups for our most recent production of Peter Pan the Pantomime. This was taken up by some groups who attended and thrououghly enjoyed the experience. Many thanks again GATA.

Our Next Production:

A Dinner & Drama production on Thursday 3rd Oct to Saturday 5th October. It will be Ghost Writer a haunting comedy by David Tristram.

‘A theatre company decides to stage a new production of Hamlet – fronted by TV soap star Julian Dando, and backed by a cast of second-rate hams.

At the last-night party is one Edward Pinfold, a promising young playwright, and husband of the talented but tempestuous actress Ruby who played Ophelia.

Tragically, that very night, Ruby – a renowned reveller with a reputation for burning the candle at all three ends – is found dead in bed. An overdose of naughty pills and booze. The Theatre world went into a state of mourning that barely lasted into the afternoon.

One year later, however, Edward remains deeply affected. Unable to face the emotional torment of living in the house he shared with Ruby, he has moved into the attic room of one of his oldest actor friends, Alex.

So there you have it. I trust you have followed me so far.

We join the story on the first anniversary of the death of Ruby Pinfold. May she rest in peace.’

Why not come and have a fun night out with a great comedy and dinner. Performance dates are Thursday 3rd October to Saturday 5th October 2019.
